Chris Beech signs Dale contract extension

Date published: 18 September 2017

Rochdale AFC Assistant Manager Chris Beech has committed his long-term future to the club.

Beech has penned a deal which will keep him contracted to Rochdale until the summer of 2022.

It brings his length of contract in line with Keith Hill, who signed a five-year-deal earlier this summer.

Hill and Beech have worked together as Dale’s management duo since January 2013, securing promotion to League One during that time, as well as three top 10 finishes in League One since then.

Chris Beech said: “I am delighted to have signed the contract..

“This is my 11th season at Rochdale Football Club, having initially joined the club as Youth Team Manager, and it’s special here.

“I thoroughly enjoy working with Keith and I am really pleased that relationship will continue. We’ve achieved a lot of successes together and have developed a lot of players, and we want to keep progressing.”

Keith Hill added: “It brings us continuity. We have been very successful and everyone wants that success to continue. From my point of view, I am happy working with Chris Beech – he is an excellent Assistant Manager and we have got a good staff here.

“Not only is it great news for the football club, it is great news for Chris and his endeavours during his time here.”
