Boxer commended by Mayor

A member of Hamer Boxing Club has received a Mayoral Commendation.
Mehran Khan, 19, was invited to the Mayor’s Parlour on Wednesday by Mayor Ian Duckworth to receive the accolade.
Mehran won the National Boys and Girls Clubs Super- Heavyweight Boxing title in December 2017.
The Mayor said: “Mehran is a great ambassador to many young people in the borough and he has made us all proud of his great achievement.”
