Football: Harrison McGahey signs new contract

Date published: 29 June 2018

Defender Harrison McGahey has signed a new two-year deal with Rochdale AFC.

McGahey said: “It was important to get the contract signed before we come back in for pre-season, so I can get going again.

“My time at Rochdale has been brilliant. I’ve learned a lot, and to play 100 games is quite a lot in only a two-year period, so I’m proud of that.

“I’ve been in touch with all the lads over the summer and I’m looking forward to the start of pre-season - it’s brilliant when we all come back together. With the way we stayed up last season, I think we showed that we’ve got great character in the squad. We all stuck together.”

The 22-year-old has made 100 appearances for Rochdale since joining the club in the summer of 2016 from Sheffield United.
