Diabetic boxer to make professional debut in September

Muhammad Ali Zahid, the UK's first professional diabetic boxer
The first boxer with type one diabetes to be granted a professional licence in the UK is set to make his debut in September.
Rochdale-born Muhammad Ali Zahid, 24, was granted a professional licence by the British Boxing Board of Control in May 2018, after a three year fight.
He will make his debut at Victoria Warehouse in Stretford on 15 September.
Type one diabetes is an autoimmune disease that occurs when the body is unable to produce insulin, the hormone that controls the amount of sugar in your blood. It requires regular administration of insulin either by injection or by insulin pump.
