Rochdale make it four wins for the season

Rochdale 1 - 0 Oldham

Rochdale Ladies Hockey Club were hoping to make it four wins for the season when they faced Oldham Threes.

Rochdale dealt with early pressure with a solid display from the defence of Gill Knowles, Sophie Marshall, Roisin Pickering and Ashley Hoyle.

Midway through the first half that Rochdale made the break through, Jenny Banks punished a mistake from Oldham when she intercepted a pass on the halfway line, took on a number of defenders and smashed a shot into the bottom corner.

Both teams had plenty of attempts but no more goals were forthcoming, though Rochdale's Joanna McManus come close after a good through ball from Alex McDermott.

Rochdale play there home matches at Oulder Hill School and train every Tuesday evening 8:00-9:00pm.
