Rock-bottom Rochdale Town were hit for six when they visited Barnoldswick Town at the weekend.

Mark Canning in the Town goal was hapless as Barnoldswick sliced through his side's backline time after time.

Neil Champman gave the home side the lead on 16 minutes, racing onto a long clearance and firing his side ahead.

Ten minutes later Stewart Airdrie turned in the box and fired into the opposite corner.

Barnoldswick put the visitors to the sword in the second half with goals from Ashley Alderson, Clark from the penalty spot, Paul Barrett with a header and Joe Shelmerdine.
