Date published: 11 March 2014

Middleton Cricket Club (MCC) have received a £400 grant from the Rotary Club of Middleton to help repair the club’s facilities and help to ensure the club can meet its obligations into the future.

This followed MCC’s participation in the Rotary ‘Dragon’s Den’ process late last year.

John Burton, Vice Chairman of Middleton Cricket Club said: “Recently we had an emergency which required funding assistance and we applied to the Rotary Club of Middleton for finance through their “Dragon’s Den” initiative. MCC were successful in our application for  funding.”

Lee Wolf, the Chairman of the Rotary Community Service Committee, who presented the grant, said: “The Rotary Club of Middleton was pleased to make the award to MCC and we want to thank John Burton, Elaine Roydes and the entire MCC team for all they do for the community of Middleton.”
