Olivia Lee and Kallum Roberts, from Middleton Trampoline Club, competed in the Trampoline and Tumbling regional final on Saturday 7 June in Exeter.

Olivia finished fourth place in her category with Kallum finishing second place in his category.

Lisa Lee, Head Coach at Middleton Trampoline Club, said: “I am extremely proud of them both. They have worked so hard and have done incredibly well.”

Olivia, 14, a pupil at Middleton Technology School, narrowly missed out on third place in her category.

Lisa said: “She was just pipped to the post for third place but she had some very stiff competition and did incredibly well.”

Before competing, Olivia and Kallum 16 (who has autism) performed a walk out in their North West gear for the competition.

Lisa described the atmosphere as “amazing” and added: “The crowd were great and were clapping along. The atmosphere was just amazing.”

The pair secured their places in the final after coming first at events held in January, February and March and competed against athletes from places including the North West, South East, Ireland and Wales.

“They both worked so hard and have done themselves proud. They have competed against people from all across the country and now they are looking at moving on to national competition,” said Lisa.
