Milnrow U11s where crowned champions of the Central Lancashire League on Wednesday (23 July) night, after victory over Clifton CC.

The U11s are undefeated all season and finished the campaign with seven straight wins.

The trophy was presented to the team on the night by Milnrow’s professional, Rudi Second.

The U11s coach Richard Park thanked all his players saying: “We started pre-season training back in February and it's very rewarding to see all that hard work and effort paying off with a well-deserved win.

"Every member of the squad has played a part this season and they should all be proud of themselves.”

Milnrow have now won the U11s league title three years in a row and are due to play in the quarter final of the Lancashire Knock Out Cup next Tuesday with an away fixture at Longridge CC.

The club committee is delighted with the progress and a spokesperson stated: “The junior coaching setup at Milnrow has gone from strength to strength over the last five years and on the back of this we have been fortunate to have a great deal of success, winning four league titles with the possibility of two more to come.

"We are very lucky to have such a talented crop of juniors at the club along with dedicated coaches and a great network of parents and helpers and this can only bode well for the future of the club in years to come.”
