Rochdale Online Alliance Football League Report

Date published: 19 September 2014

Woodbank are the early season leaders in the Rochdale Online Alliance Football League Premier Division after a Jake Jackson goal gave them a 1-0 away win at promoted Rochdale Asia.

They lead from Fothergills, who were without a game, and Falcon, who recorded their second win in three outings, after a veritable goal fest at Matthew Moss against another of the promoted teams, Sudden FC.

Fitz McKenzie will feel particularly hard done by as his four goals were in vain as hat tricks for Kyle Jackson and Danny Newall powered Falcon to the win, completed by goals from Bostock, Bradley and Liam Jackson.

In the day’s other game in this division Rochdale Sacred Heart and White Lion shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw at Firgrove, Lyons for Hearts and King for Lion somewhat confusingly on the mark.

Both Fothergill & Whittles 2nds and Mighty Dragons maintained their one hundred per cent records after three games in Division 1, with comfortable home wins over Falcon 2nds and Hargreaves respectively.

Healey 2, Fitton, Jorgensen, Morton, Harris-Hudson and Kibble made up Fothergill’s seven, whilst Damien Attwood 2, Costin and Hunt earned Dragons a good looking 4-1 home win over Hargreaves.

Wardle OB are the other unbeaten side following their second draw in three outings ; goals from McCann, Howarth and Sutcliffe were equalised by Whiteman, Lynch and Dixon for opponents F&W Rovers. Nevertheless, a much improved start to the season for the old boys in comparison with twelve months ago.

Also seemingly much improved are Rochdale Galaxy and half a dozen of the best from Teejay Rigby propelled them to a double figure win over Horse & Farrier that also included a hat trick for Karl Warburton.
