Mayfield preview

Date published: 09 April 2015

Mayfield welcome back Paul Brearley and Matty Moores into their squad this week as they return to league action in the Kingstone Press Cider NCL Premier Division.

Brearley, back after an eight match ban, and Moores, returning after a shoulder injury, will be welcome additions to Matt Calland and Sam Butterworth's plans as they look to pick up their first away win of the season.

The opponents, East Leeds, will be a tough nut to crack. They have a big powerful pack and a good half back combination but Mayfield will be travelling over the Pennines with a spring in their step knowing they have played well so far and with the returning players strengthening the squad will get better.

Dave Harmer's NWML side are at home this weekend for their first game in three weeks. Their opponents are Warrington side Woolston Rovers.

Woolston, like Mayfield, have only played one league fixture, which they won easily, so its hard to gauge their standard.

Harmer will be hoping that the returrning first team players will boost his squad and give him a real chance of taking the points.

Fixtures Saturday 11 April

NCL Premier Division: East Leeds v Mayfield - Kick Off 2.30pm

NWML Division Two: Mayfield v Woolston - Kick Off 2.30pm
