Norden comfortable winners against Monton and Weaste

Norden emerged comfortable winners in their Lake Garage Central Lancashire League away match against Monton and Weaste on Saturday.

They had 78 on the board before Monton gained a breakthrough and went on to total 179 for five.

Simon Harman scored 83, and Steve Pimm claimed 30.

Monton had two wickets down for nine runs, both having fallen to Chris Hartley, and their innings never got going.

Chris Humphreys and Daniel Salpietro each took three wickets as Monton went from 50 for three to 76 all out, the last four wickets going down for only three runs.

Ash Gowers took five catches behind the stumps.
