Littleborough Pink Warriors
Littleborough's all-girl rugby team is on the lookout for new players.
Littleborough Pink Warriors are based at Littleborough Rugby Union FC at Rakewood and started last year with two players in an under 15s side.
They have been nominated for the national RFU award for Club Development of the Year. They successfully reached the final six from over 120 nominations. They have received funding from the RFU to update the girls changing rooms and toilets.
Kym Buckley, whose daughter plays for the team, said: "My daughter joined on New Year's Day and it has been the best decision we ever made. Her confidence has soared and her love of the game is evident. Mostly, though, for us as a family the team atmosphere up there is second to none. We have really been welcomed and definitely feel part of the community - even pulling the rushcart on Sunday."
The girls train every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm and are looking for girls aged 11 through to 17 to join one of the teams.
If you would like to find out more or take part, simply turn up on a training night.
