British Association for Cricketers with Disabilities semi final: Lancashire v Surrey at Heywood Cricket Club

The British Association for Cricketers with Disabilities (BACD) National Semi Final between LCB PDLD Hardball and Surrey PDLD Hardball will take place on Sunday 23 August at Heywood Cricket Club at 12.00pm start.

Lancashire's Physical Disability / Learning Disability county hardball team take on Surrey in the Semi Final of the BACD National D40 County Championship for players with physical and / or learning disabilities. Lancashire have won the Northern Championship and now hope to progress to the National Final.

LCB PDLD Hardball Team Manager Alan Foster commented: “We very much look forward to welcoming Surrey to Heywood Cricket Club and hope for a competitive and enjoyable day. Our thanks go to Heywood for hosting this fixture and let’s hope Lancashire put a good performance in and can progress to the final.”

LCB Disability Cricket Development Officer, James Cutt, added: “This summer Lancashire have entered both the D40 (hardball) and Super9s (softball) competitions for players with physical and learning disabilities and I am delighted that our hardball squad have had some success. I wish all the players and coaches from both sides all the best for Sunday. We thank Heywood CC for their hospitality and hope to see some spectators on the day to cheer on the Red Rose.”
