Black Belts at The Dojo Karate Centre

Date published: 02 October 2015

Three members of The DOJO Karate Centre gained their next Black Belt under the watchful eyes of Sensei Irfan Ansari and Sensei Mark Lineker.

Hamza Ali, 14, progressed onto Black Belt second Dan, while Isshaaq Ansari, 13, achieved third Dan to follow in his brother Issmaeel’s, 18, footsteps who achieved Black Belt fourth Dan.

While both Hamza and Isshaaq will continue to work for their next belt level, Issmaeel will take a break from Karate to study Medicine at Queens University in London.

Sensei Ansari said: "These three have shown great perseverance and focus to achieve what they have achieved despite finding the training difficult and gruelling at times.

"While Hamza started around seven years of age, both Isshaaq and Issmaeel started aged just three years and have trained regularly throughout.

"I’m very proud of their achievement on the mat, in their schooling and even more so of their good character and the development of indominate-able spirit.

"All members of The Dojo wish them the very best for the future."
