Rochdale Hockey Seconds 11 - 1 Keswick Seconds

Date published: 01 December 2015

Rochdale Hockey Club put 11 past Keswick on Saturday, taking their goal tally to 60 and goal difference to plus 52, a full 29 goals more than their nearest rivals.

For the second home game running the severe weather could have played its part, but true to form Rochdale were quick out of the gate scoring early goals and Keswick heads quickly dropped leading to a 6-0 half time lead.

Credit has to go to the Robinson brothers, Josh and Luke, who dominated Keswick's D and scored seven goals between them, with an inspired individual performance, along with four goals, rightly winning Luke Robinson the man of the match award.

Captain Karl Wynn said after the game: "We were aware that the weather could play its part today, but in the end our whole attack was outstanding and just too strong for Keswick."

Next week brings the return of Blackpool who earlier on in the season Rochdale beat 6-3 and then they have an away trip to Preston before the Christmas break.
