Heywood bonfire and firework display

Hundreds of people turned out for the Heywood bonfire and firework display held tonight (Wednesday 3 November 2010).

The crowds enjoyed a huge bonfire, a magnificent firework display and a wonderful selection of fun fair rides.

Gold fish, candy floss, glow sticks and sparklers filled the children’s hands and smiles filled their faces.

The slight drizzle and muddy surface didn’t put any of the families off and as the firework display finished a huge round of applause could be heard.
