Families packed into Limefields Park, Middleton, on Sunday (24 July) for the annual Midd Fest – an afternoon of fun and frolics in the sun.
Attractions at the popular event, now in its 15th year, included monster truck displays, a Morris dancing competition, fairground rides, donkey rides, bike rides, and the Revolution Radio road show.
The festival, organised by Middleton Round Table, is held in a bid to bring everyone together for a summer celebration.
Organiser Andy Lill, from Middleton Round Table, said: “We coincide the day for when the children finish school for the summer.
“It takes a lot of organising but it is worth it when you see people having fun with smiles on their faces – that makes it well worth it.”
The festival was opened by the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Alan Godson and Middleton and Heywood MP Jim Dobbin.
Mayor Godson said: “It is going to be a very good day, especially because it is sunny.
“Every festival I have been to this year there has been great weather and of course it is great to be in Middleton.
“I have a feeling it will be bursting here because the weather will draw everyone in.”
