Parental Survey

There are many ways in which the school seeks the views of parents throughout the year. This can be in the form of Education, Health and Care Plan reviews, Annual Reviews, Home School Planners, Parents Evening consultation meetings and in individual meetings with parents/carers. In addition to this process, school also carries out an annual survey of parents and carers views to support our school improvement planning and provision for our youngsters. This survey will take place between 28th January to 5th February and your views are crucial to us to continue our improvements.

Curriculum model – Preparing for Adulthood

Over the next few weeks I will be circulating details of our curriculum model, from Year 7 to Post 16 which is entitled ‘Preparing For Adulthood’. It will give details of the various stages of progression your son/daughter will work through as we continue to plan for the next stage in their school career. It will also give a breakdown of the various opportunities they have within the following areas: school life (academic), working life (vocational) and preparing life skills (experiential) within each of the key stages:

Years 7 to 9: ‘Learning to Learn’
Years 10 & 11: ‘Learning to Live’
Post 16: ‘Preparing for Adult Life’
