Linking with their current topic, on Tuesday 19 January, our Upper Key Stage Two children visited Eden Camp Modern History Theme Museum, a large Second World War-related museum near Malton in North Yorkshire. It occupies a former Second World War prisoner-of-war camp of 33 huts. The children enjoyed the experience and behaved incredibly well.

Mr Reddy, our Maths consultant is visiting school again on Tuesday 26 January to deliver some sessions in class so that our teachers can further develop their professional capacity. In these sessions they will gain more ideas as they experience and work through the challenges set for the children alongside them as they learn.

On Friday 29 January there will be no celebration assembly for parents or children as our Year 5 and 6 children are going to a Workshop being held in school. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

On Saturday 30 January M6 Theatre are putting on 2 performances at 10.30am and 1.30pm. This is about a Tadpole catching competition challenges a superhero duo to overcome rivalry and harness their strengths. Working as a team, can they save the world …. Together? Parents may be aware that, in the news recently, there have been a number of reported cases of grapes getting stuck as children eat them. As a result, we would like to ask that grapes are not sent into school as part of any packed lunch and to alert parents to the current advice that, should grapes be given as a healthy snack to children at home, they should be cut into halves first. Thank you.
