St Cuthbert's R.C Business & Enterprise College

Date published: 10 January 2012

This week’s Enterprise skill is; “Improving own Learning.”

The half-term’s Enterprise focus for year seven is Independent Learning.

Welcome back and Happy New Year to all pupils and staff. No doubt 2012 will be another successful year for everyone at St Cuthbert’s.

Exams begin from Monday January 10th up until the beginning of February we wish all our pupils the best of luck.

The St Cuthbert's Under 16 boy’s football team have had another impressive start to the season and remain unbeaten up until the Christmas break. They are performing well in five separate competitions and most impressive have been their performances in the Greater Manchester County Cup and The English Schools National Cup.
In the county cup, the boys are currently into the quarter finals where they will soon be playing Manchester Grammar School. However, along the way they have played some excellent football and recorded some excellent results, even beating last year’s cup winners (Audenshaw) 4-2 in the last round.

The success hasn't just been confined to local leagues and cups as the boys are also into the last 32 in the National Cup. Some very strong teams have fallen to some outstanding performances from the boys and they have beaten teams from Bacup, Didsbury, Huddersfield and Liverpool on the way.

Thanks to all pupils in Years nine and ten who contributed towards the food hampers for Petrus. They were gratefully received.
