Another busy and successful week comes to an end at Alice Ingham School.
We started the week by pledging to work towards becoming a Gold Standard Singing School. Staff and pupils plan to SING their way to the award this year. Singing is fast becoming a very big part of how we learn in all our curriculum subjects.
Reception class have been busy playing in their classroom garage, drawing, counting and talking about all kinds of transport.
Year 1 are doing all things MAGIC, researching and creating different magic tricks. They might have a very special surprise next week!
Year 2 are finding out about the explorer Shackleton and they are creating an Antartic landscape in the style of Cliff Wassman.
Year 3 have been taking part in Road Safety Workshops and designing a banner for outside our school that will remind everyone about keeping us safe as we leave school each day.
Year 4 have been investigating circuits and discovering which materials are the best conductors of electricity.
Year 5 led our assembly on Friday, sharing their work from last term on Victorians and leading us in rousing song about working in the Victorian mills.
Year 6 are continuing to develop their mathematical and writing skills. They are all working hard at being a good example to all the other pupils, as our school leaders. Well done!
Next week our Alice Ingham Singers are off to the MEN Arena.
Please do come along to the Coffee afternoon on Tuesday 24th Jan at 2.30pm. Our singers will be waiting to entertain you!
