Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 28 March 2014

It was really fantastic to see so many families here at the Parents morning at school on Saturday 22 March. Parents and children joined together and enjoyed lots of different activities. The bouncy castle seemed to be the most popular! Thank you to all of you for bringing your children and supporting us. Special thanks to Mrs Coward, Miss Wild and Mrs Holland for all their hard work!

Over the past few weeks we have been working together with the IPLCN group of schools in a number of ways. Our newly qualified teachers have been given the opportunity to observe effective practice in a setting other than their own and the Year 6 and Year 2 staff across the IPLCN have undertaken a number of writing moderation activities. The IPLCN continues to be a very powerful collaboration as we support and develop alongside each other in a bid to continually move our schools forward.

Parent Consultations will be taking place across school next week. Parents will receive more detailed information from the class teachers.

The following children have been to Pizza Hut today with Mrs Flynn, Mrs Kershaw, Miss Wild and Miss Mullane. This is in recognition of their outstanding behaviour and manners over the lunchtime period – What great role models they are!
