Rhiannon Whitworth and Ashleigh Brown raise £300 for charity

Date published: 31 March 2014

Rhiannon Whitworth and Ashleigh Brown have raised money for two charities that are close to their hearts: Cancer Research and the Mental Health Charity Mind.

Rhiannon Whitworth and Ashleigh Brown, Year 9 pupils at Hollingworth Academy, asked staff to donate Easter eggs and sold raffle tickets to pupils every break time for a week.

The girls were amazed at how many prizes were donated and the tickets sold like hot cakes, raising nearly £300 for their chosen charities.

They said, “It’s lovely knowing that we have done something to help others.”
