On Thursday 19 June 2014 seventeen of our fantastic Key Stage Two children went to Heybrook Primary School to take part in the first IPLCN Instrumental Workshop. The event was a brilliant success and our drumming group did us proud. Thank you to our children for representing our school so well and to Mrs Coward for all her hard work teaching the children through her weekly Drumming Club. Well Done!

On Monday 20 June the children in Key Stage 2 enjoyed climbing and abseiling workshops. It was fantastic to see how many children overcame their fears and showed impressive levels of determination to reach the top and do their bests. Well done Key Stage 2 for completing the challenge! Thank you to Mrs Kershaw for organising this event.

On Wednesday 18 June, the children in Year 3 and Year 4 enjoyed a visit to The Manchester Museum of Science and Industry as part of their IPC “Inventions” Topic. It was fantastic to hear how brilliant the behaviour was of those children that went along, they have also been awarded the Citizen’s of the Week for week ending Friday 20th June 2014 for their excellent behaviour.

We are delighted to announce that Mrs Shasta Bi has been re-elected by the Governing Body as a Community Governor for the school. In addition, it is a great pleasure also to announce that Mrs Fathima Begum was also appointed by the Governing Body as a Community Governor this week. Thank you both for your commitment to the school.

As you all know, school finishes at 3.15pm every day. Whilst we appreciate how hard the vast majority of parents/carers work in order that their child/children are picked up on time at 3.15pm, we have had a few instances recently where children have not been picked up until almost 4.00pm. Whilst we appreciate that in exceptional circumstances you may be a few minutes late, we do expect you to contact school to let us know. We are unfortunately unable to offer after school child sitting care to parents and carers at this time. Thank you for working with us on this.
