Date published: 21 August 2014

Falinge Park High School students are celebrating GCSE results some of which are amongst the best ever achieved at the school.

Mehidi Hossain and Afifah Batul got the school's first ever A** grades - in Additional Mathematics. The grades reflect very high performances in a tough course.

Twin sisters Georgia and Jessica Berry achieved 14 A/A*s, 6 Bs and a distinction.

Two more high performers are Jabed Miah and Afifah Batul. Amongst Afifah’s haul was an A** and nine A*/A grades, whilst Jabed gained eleven A*/A grades.

Headteacher, Robin Lonsdale said: "Staff and students have all worked extremely hard under difficult circumstances with all the building work which is still on going. I am very proud of all their achievements.”
