Vacancies available for Co-opted School Governors
We currently have two vacancies for co-opted governors at our school. A Co-Opted Governor is a person appointed by the governing body and who, in the opinion of the Governing body, has the skills required to contribute to the effective governance and success of the school. As a co-opted governor, you may have an area of specialist knowledge or experience or bring a wide range of skills and experience to your role as a governor.

If you know anyone who might have skills that they wish to share with our school and who may have an interest in working in partnership with the Headteacher, senior leadership team and other governors to raise standards and improve outcomes for all our children, then please provide a 100 word nomination about yourself and what you have to offer us in writing.
Please submit this to the school office by Friday 26 September 2014. We look forward to hearing from you.

Parking
I ask again that you are respectful and considerate to local residents when parking your vehicles close to school or dropping off / collecting children at the start of and end of the school day:
Do not park where there are parking restrictions, e.g. double yellow or zig-zag lines;
Do not park over the driveways of local residents;
Do not park on the pavement and take great care for the safety of our children.

I get numerous reports from residents and from some of our own parents about the inconsiderate behaviour of a small number of parents. On a few occasions I have called
the police because this behaviour represents a danger or a significant nuisance.

Please make that extra time and effort to park safely further from school, or even better, if possible, walk or cycle to school.

Thank you for your support
Mr T Barnes
Headteacher
