Autumn Disco – 23 October

Unit one disco will be during the school day – during the afternoon
Unit two/three/four children’s disco will be 3.15-4.45pm
We will be having an Autumn Disco on the 23 October in school. Children can bring their own clothes to change into at the end of the day. The cost is £2.00 – this will include a drink and a biscuit and a play on the bouncy castle. We will also be playing party games.

Harvest Collections

We are having a Harvest Festival on Wednesday, 15 October; collections are for the Food Bank in Rochdale. Tins and packets will be most welcome – there will be a box in the front entrance of school for any donations.

Eid

Eid is expected to fall at a weekend so there should be no need for extra days off school.

Labels, Labels, Labels, Labels, Labels
Please, please label everything your child brings to school this will make returning misplaced items much easier as well as making it easier to double check the ownership of disputed items. Without your support it is impossible to return misplaced items.

Sweets in School

Just a reminder that children are not allowed sweets of any description in school at any time. Whilst on the subject this brings me to: Birthday Treats - Many children (and their parents) like to bring in a treat for other children in their class to celebrate birthdays. Instead of buying sweets for the children you can buy a book for the classroom. The librarian, Suzanne O’Hara, has a stock of books so that you can select one to buy and donate to the classroom. If you wish to discuss this further please contact me in School.

A Big Reminder - Start and End of the Day

It is important that you are clearly aware that if your child arrives at school without an adult before 8.30 a.m. they must attend Early Start Club. If they have not been collected by 3.30 p.m. they must attend Tea Time Club.

Mobile Phones

Children should not bring mobile phones to school. Can we also remind parents and visitors about not using mobile phones in the classrooms.
