Royal British Legion
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War we have been asked to help raise extra funds for the Royal British Legion.
We will be selling friendship bracelets and flexi rulers for £1 each and wristbands, pencils, erasers, hair clips and reflective tags for 50p each.
These all have the poppy symbol on them. All are available from the school office.
Closer to the anniversary we will also be selling poppies.
Please help us raise lots of money for this very worthwhile cause.

Christmas Cards
Thank you to everyone who has ordered Christmas Cards – this has been very popular indeed. They will be given to children as soon as they return from the printers.

Individual Photographs
On Friday 17 October the photographer will be in school. He will take photographs of all children who are present on that day.
If you have younger children who do not attend this school please bring them at 8.30am onwards in order for them to have their photos taken with their older siblings.
Children who do not have any siblings in school will have their photos taken alone.
Children who have siblings in school will have their photos taken all together.
Unfortunately we cannot take photos with cousins, classmates, friends etc

Hallowe’en Parties
There will be a party for Y1 and Y2 children
On Thursday 23 October from 3.30 – 4.30 p.m. in the main Hall and on the same evening for KS2 children from 6.00 – 8.00 p.m.
Entry is by ticket only. Tickets will be on sale in school at morning breaktime each day priced £2.00 each. Entry includes a cake and a drink. Please come dressed for the occasion!

Open Evening for new entrants
On Tuesday 21 October school will be holding an ‘Open Evening’ when prospective parents of new Nursery and Reception children, who are due to start in September 2015 are invited into school to meet and talk to staff and have a look round school.
The evening runs from 6.00 – 8.00 p.m.
Please pass on the message if you know others who might be interested.

The following cars have been seen parking on the zig-zag lines or in the entrance to the playground:

Please could we ask that parents/carers do not park in these areas and show consideration for the safety of our children.

Monday: Fish Fillet, Quiche (V), Chips, Mushy Peas or Baked Beans, Baked Dessert and Custard, Yoghurt and Fruit.
Tuesday: Roast Dinner with Trimmings, Pasta Bake (V),Garlic Bread, Rice Pudding (strawberry, banana),Yoghurt and Fruit.
Wednesday: Burger (cheese, beef or vegetable (V)), French Fries or Wedges in a bun (not sesame seed), Spaghetti Hoops or mixed salad, Fruit Whip / Fruit Salad, Yoghurt and Fruit.
Thursday: Spaghetti Bolognese, Cheese Pie (V),Herby diced potatoes, Selection of Vegetables.
Friday: Chicken Fillet, Tray Baked Pizza (V), Potato Wedges, Selection of Vegetables or Mixed Salad, Jelly and Ice Cream or iced cake, Yoghurt and Fruit.
(V) – vegetarian option. Jacket potatoes are also available each day as are sandwiches
Attendance Ted was won by 6M who had 100% attendance last week.
On Time Ted was shared by 2C, 4A and 6m– who had no children late for school – Well Done.
