Year 11

Start gathering together your notes and commence revision now for the Pre Public Exams (Mock Exam Week) coming up in December. Start now and you will be better prepared and you will experience more success!

All Year 11’s should now be well into applying for Colleges for next year. Most College deadlines are in November, so you should now be visiting the Colleges and making your choices. Please see Mrs Sanderson if you are unsure and would like a Careers appointment.

Year 10 Boys’ Football Team

The Year 10 Boys’ Football Team were narrowly beaten 0-1 by St Cuthbert’s in a recent Cup fixture. Even though they were on the wrong end of a tight scoreline, all the students involved played incredibly well, and were praised by spectators for producing a match of high quality. The students involved were: Brandon Coughlan, Ben Howarth, Owain Harrison, Kristian Kean, Will Taylor, Danny Cryer, Stephen Nairn, Danny Pearson, Joe Wrest, Brandon Kwei-Sutcliffe, Saqlain Khalid, Abubakr Ali and Mohammed Awais.

Drop Everything and Read (DEAR)

The next Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) session takes place on Thursday 13th November during afternoon registration. The aim of DEAR is to create a culture of reading for pleasure and to eradicate the stigma attached to reading. Students and staff will be taking part, and they will be encouraged to read from a variety of materials including books, newspapers and magazines.

Wednesday 17th December - Community Christmas Lunch, Christmas Fair
Friday 19th December at 1:50pm - School closes for Christmas holidays. School reopens on Monday 5th January 2015.
