Hamer Community Primary School

The lucky children in our Foundation Stage will be travelling to the Chill Factore on Tuesday. They will have a’ fun in the snow’ session. This experience is part of their IPC topic where they have been looking at the clothes we wear. Please can parents ensure that their children have suitable, warm clothing for this trip.

On Thursday 4 December the class assembly will be held by Mr Nadins class and parents and families of the class are welcome.

On Friday 5 December, the Health Trainer will be in school. This is for all parents to come and get a MOT! Come and get your blood pressure and weight checked and some practical advice on how to lead a healthy lifestyle. This will be from 9am in the Surestart area.

We are extremely proud of our Community Cohesion Ambassadors. On Wednesday, they joined pupils from Marland Hill Primary School and students from Rochdale Sixth Form College. The group is working together to try and create a vision of a better future for Rochdale. As ever, our pupils had excellent behaviour, wonderful ideas and superb team spirit. It is lovely when people from other institutions comment on how well our pupils behave and work.

We are delighted with the attendance at our Dance club. So many children attended the session before school and also at lunchtime. They are working on developing their skills in Street Dance. We look forward to some amazing performances coming up.

Thank you to all the families who contributed to our BAGS to SCHOOL collection. All of the bags will be weighed, sorted and then sent for recycling. This is a great way to raise funds for our school and also to help other communities.
