Also Come along and join us at our special carol concert in the hall next Friday, 19 December at 9.10am and refreshments in the dining room afterwards.

Miss Holden’s class will be taking assembly on Thursday 18 December. The assembly starts at 9.10am and we look forward to seeing parents/families of the class.

On Friday 12 December the following children were awarded for their continuous fantastic behaviour at lunchtimes. They enjoyed lunch at Pizza Hut and they all had a really great time: Reception – Sadie; Miss Gough – Alisha; Mrs Casey – Umair; Miss Nicholson – Atif; Miss Weaver – Sakif; Mr Nadin- Zain; Miss Fagan – Liaba; Miss Birchenough – Arzu; Miss Holden – Kais; Mr Khan – Kainaat

An increasing number of parents who come to school in cars are ignoring the no entry signs and one way system as they leave the car park. There have been one or two near-misses between cars and our concern is that somebody will be seriously hurt. Please respect the one way system that is in place to keep our children and families safe.

It is Hamer school policy, as stated in the parents’ handbook, that lines in hair are not permitted. Please make sure that this is remembered in any visits to the barbers before the children return to school after the break. Thank you.

The children will have copies of their maths passports to use over the holidays. Please help your children to practice their maths at home while they are out of school.

The class with the best attendance for the whole of the Autumn Term will be visiting the cinema next Thursday. Who will win? Watch this space.

Well done to Miss Birchenough’s Class for the best attendance for week ending 5 December 2014.

Please support us by ensuring that your child is on time and in school every day.

The Citizens of the week for week ending 19 December are the Foundation Unit and KS1 Units for an excellent Nativity Performance.

All parents should have received the nominations details to join our wonderful school’s Leadership Team as Parent Governor. Mr Moore is now looking forward to hearing from any interested parents.

Mr Moore has been in touch with the council’s Highways department in respect to the problems which have arisen due to the flooding in the nearby subway and is pleased to report that the matter has now been dealt with appropriately.

As the weather has taken a bitter turn recently, please can all parents ensure that all children have a suitable winter coat for the cold weather at playtimes and lunchtimes Thank you.

The school will close on Friday 19 December at 3.15pm and reopen on Monday 5 January 2015 .
