Redwood School transformed the way they support young people through physical education. They have developed a new online resource which can set targets, monitor progress, give the young people a say in the direction which they want to develop, and allow them to share their success with their parents and carers.

On stage to present Redwood School with their award were Sonia Blandford of Achievement for All and Jo Simpson of Youth Sport Direct.

David Butterworth, Head of PE at Redwood School said: “We are very honoured to win this award. Raising achievement and aspirations of special educational needs and disability pupils is very important to us so we feel very humbled to be recognised in this way.”

The school will receive a TOP Sportsability practical masterclass with TOP Sportsability author and international inclusion specialist Ken Black for students, teachers and support staff complete with a TOP Sportsability equipment package.

Youth Sport Trust Director of Policy and Communications Phil Chamberlain said: “The Youth Sport Trust would like to congratulate to Redwood School for this deserved award.
