Rochdale Skills Event

A group of our Key Stage 4 youngsters attended the Skills Event in Heywood where they had the opportunity to sample 'hands on' activities as part of their leavers programme. I know that the students were excellent ambassadors for the school and all had a very interesting visit trying a number of activities and learning about potential job opportunities.

Brandon decided he would have a go at the rowing challenge, to see how quick he could row 500 metres.

Brandon came 2nd  place for rowing 500 metres in 1 minute 44 seconds and the person who beat him was a Royal Marine Commando  who  came in at 1 minute 28 seconds, that’s only 12 seconds between them. Brandon may have a future as a Royal Marine Commando

Well done Brandon. A great time was had by all.
