Year 10 football team

Congratulations to the year 10 football team who played brilliantly in the Rochdale School's League Cup final and finished as worthy winners against Wardle. The final score was 5-1.

They have won both the League and Cup this year. Mr Rogerson is thrilled with their success this year. Congratulations to all.

Year 7 girls Dodgeball team

Our year 7 girls entered 3 teams into the School Sports Dodgeball Tournament last week.

Team 2 took fourth position, Team three took the silver, but Team 1 came out on top taking the Gold and Qualifying for the summer games in a few weeks' time.

Miss Holt and Miss Howarth were overwhelmed with the result from the tournament. All pupils involved played to a fantastic standard and their enthusiasm was excellent. Well done Girls!

TootToot!

St Cuthbert’s has signed up to 'Tootoot' which is the first safeguarding app for Primary and Secondary Schools, which allows learners to report incidents of Bullying, Sexism, Racism, Extremism, Mental Health and Homophobic issues directly to school using an app on their mobiles or ipads. The aim is to improve school's ability to track, combat and remove discrimination, victimisation, harassment, stereotyping and bullying of any kind.

Granada Reports are doing a week-long series focusing on bullying starting 26 May, and they came to film the launch of Tootoot in the Year 7 assembly. Look for us on a screen near you soon!

Sporting Success

Congratulations to Katie Halligan in Year 10 who represented Burnley in the Lancashire Cup Final last week. Unfortunately they were defeated by Preston North End.

Katie really enjoyed the opportunity to play in the final and was overwhelmed by the experience of playing at Lancashire County Ground.
