Three pupils from the school represented Rochdale in the primary swimming at the Greater Manchester School Games which were held at Manchester Aquatics Centre. They took part in individual and relay events. They represented Rochdale, along with another pupil from Castleton Primary. Excellent swims saw they take the Gold medal to become champions. A great performance from Sophie Wilkinson, Ali Salman and Alfie Mayer.

The under13 rugby team took part in a touch rugby tournament hosted by Sale Sharks. They started the first game with great energy and had several chances to score. However, a late try cost them the points. They played with great confidence throughout and secured a victory, a draw and two defeats to finish their group in 4th place. Player of the day was Maya Servio.

The under13 dodgeball team played in a tournament held at the school. Sadly, out of the many teams that could have taken part, only St Cuthbert’s turned up to play. Despite this, both teams played with a high energy level but Beech House just lost out 5-3. Player of the day was Harvey Mondino.

The under13 rounders team took part in the ISA North Rounders competition at Queen Ethelburgha’s in York. The team was made up of Year 7s who were playing together for the first time. They gave a good account of themselves and won one, drew one and lost three of their games to finish in 5th place. Players of the day were Amy Hanson and Maya Servio.
