Oulder Hill Community School and Language College

The Year 8 6-a-side footballers unfortunately lost in the final of the Rochdale Under-13s competition by the narrowest of margins.

After battling their way to the final, only some fine goalkeeping by the St Cuthbert’s keeper prevented them from being champions outright.

St Cuthbert’s held out, even for a period of extra time and the decision came down to sudden death penalties.

It wasn’t until the 12th round of penalties that the Cuthbert’s keeper saved a well struck penalty and put us into second place. Mr Pullan and Mr Arain were so proud of the players, who were all great ambassadors for Oulder Hill.

Well done to: Aadam Latif, Ethan Haworth, Saif Zulfiqar, Harry Toogood, Muzamil Bashir, Zak Choudhury, Connor Roscoe and Sulayman Qadir.

The next Parent Forum meeting will take place on Tuesday 19 May from 6:00 until 7:30pm in the LRC. New and existing members are all welcome to attend. For more information about the Parent Forum, please contact Mrs Corlett at school.

Year 8 Parents’ Evening will take place on Thursday 21 May between 4:00 and 7:00pm. Students should be making appointments with their subject teachers. For more information regarding Parents’ Evening, please contact the Year 8 team at school.

Kirkland Rowell Survey
Feedback from parents/carers is very important at Oulder Hill, and we have recently sent out the Kirkland Rowell survey to help us to understand what is important to our students and their families, what we are doing well and what we can improve. We would like to thank those who have taken the time to complete the survey, and we will publish the results when they are available.
