Summer Fair

This year’s Fair will be on Saturday 13 June. One of our stalls will be ‘Adopt a Teddy’. If you have any toys you would like to donate please send them to the school office – Thank you to those of you who have already sent donations in.

There will be 3 ‘Non-Uniform’ Days leading up to the Fair, when we ask for donations for the Fair. They will be Fridays 22 May and 12 June.

Y6 SATs are over!

If you have a child in Y6 you will know all about the tests taking place this week, and today has been the final day. Thank you to all parents who have made sure that all the pupils have accessed their tests this week.

You will also know that a significant part of the school year is spent preparing the children to do their best and to be as ready as possible to move onto High School.

Not only do we want our children to have the right level of skills in Literacy and Numeracy, we also want them to be hard-working, determined and resilient.

Whilst there has been a focus on the basic skills in Y6 during the early part of the year, we have made sure that children have still had their diet of art, music, PE, dance and other subjects which help them to develop into well rounded individual.

In their remaining time at Alkrington Primary School they will also have lots of opportunities to do fun and exciting learning activities, such as trips and visits, shows and performances and a number of other specially arranged activities such as Bikeability (part 2), Lacrosse, High School visits, Leavers’ Events and many more.
