Sehar and Komal from Upper KS2 were awarded a trophy for their public speaking in the Rochdale Music and Arts Festival. They were presented the trophy in a ceremony at the Town Hall, by the Mayor and Mayoress of Rochdale.

Miss Holden has organized some special dance workshops for the whole school after the half term so we are looking forward to these very much.

On Friday 22 May 2015 we had a fantastic Skip2Bfit session for the Year 5 children in the hall. They were taught some playground skills which are going to be shown to the other children in school after the half term. This is aimed as a fun 10 minute activity at lunchtime.

People are complaining more and more about being blocked in on the car park and parents of children with disabilities are unable to park in the bays as they are filled with cars without blue-badges. Please be respectful with your parking choices. Thank you.

Just to be thinking ahead, please be prepared with sunhats and creams to protect your child(ren), if the weather takes a sunny turn soon hopefully.

Please find on the back on the Newsletter a leaflet for a free session for you and your family to attend in the half term. Please go along as these sessions are always fun for all the family.

Good news and sad news……Mr. Khan will be leaving Hamer at the end of the summer term so we will miss him very much! The good news is that Mr Khan has been appointed Assistant Headteacher at a school in Oldham and we are really proud of him for his great career achievement. We wish Mr Khan all the best for what will be a very bright future,
