Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 15 June 2015

Representatives from our school took part in the Lancashire Cricket tournament on Friday 5 June. As usual, we were extremely proud of all of our children, despite not winning, they never gave up and displayed fantastic attitudes and behaviour throughout. Thank you to everyone that took part they were a credit to the whole school community.

Members of our Parent Class, along with Miss Coward, went out for lunch this Thursday in Manchester. After a fabulous meal, they spent some time looking round the shops and enjoyed a touch of retail therapy. The trip marked the end of classes for this year and we would like to thank all those who have attended over the last 10 months or so. Thank you also to Miss Wild and Miss Coward for the fabulous contribution that they have made to ensuring that these classes are so successful.

Please remember that children should wear black school shoes, not trainers and not boots. Also, girl’s headbands and clips should be plain and discreet ie: no bright colours or bling please. Thank you.

Whilst we have all been enjoying the recent spell of warm weather, we would like to remind parents that during the day, children may be spending quite prolonged periods of time outdoors. Please ensure that they are prepared for this, by applying sunscreen before they come to school and providing them with hats or caps to wear at playtimes. We thank parents for their support in keeping their children ‘sun safe’.
