Beech House School Prom

Date published: 29 June 2015

This year's Beech House School prom returned to the Wine Press at Hollingworth Lake, and so it was lovely to see on rather a grey Friday evening the girls arriving one by one in their colourful dresses.

Candy floss pink seemed to be a popular choice, followed by navy blue. The boys had made a similar effort, with all of them opting for smart suits and ties.

All looked stunning, making it all the more difficult when it came to choosing the Prom King and Queen.

Everyone was invited to vote for the Prom Queen and King using the voting slips provided at each place setting.

Between courses Mrs White quickly counted up the slips and announced the winners, Yolanda Cruz for the Prom Queen and Omar Tahir for the Prom King.

An essential accessory this year was the selfie stick, and so the photographs taken by Mrs Scott and Dr. Hudson would have been duplicated many times over during the course of the evening.

It was also lovely to see in the welcoming party ex-pupils and also Mrs Hawkins, who left last year.

We made our way upstairs and immediately were impressed by the decorated tables.

Thanks must go to the Friends of Beech House who helped out with a financial donation for this.

After the meal the dancing started and the pupils were left to celebrate their time at Beech House.
