The Graduation Ceremony for Redwood students

The Graduation Ceremony took part at Redwood's new building, REEC, Redwood Education and Enterprise Centre.

The students were based at Rochdale Infirmary and Fairfield Hospital. All the interns have up to three placements, one per term.

Thomas Sarsfield was at Rochdale Infirmary at the Booking and Scheduling department, Wincanton logistics and then onto Abilas Logistics, which is where he has got paid work.

Tom Nelson was at the post room at Fairfield Hospital, then Wincanton picking and packing, where he has got paid employment

Tommy Dracup was at the portering department at Fairfield Hospital and then Premier Garden Services, where he got paid employment

Sandra Berry was at the domestics at Fairfield Hospital and then Fairfield Hospital kitchens and she is going onto a catering course.

Kerys Jones was at the theatre stores at Fairfield Hospital then Cafe Aroma, where she has got bank work.

Nathan Ellis was at booking and scheduling at Rochdale Infirmary and then onto Kleen Strike, where he has got paid work.

Ismah Rehman was at the clinical assessment unit at Rochdale Infirmary, stroke ward at Farfield Hospital, she is going onto a health and social care course at Hopwood Hall College.

The internship programme is not just about gaining employability skills the interns grow in different ways, they have gone from immature children to mature conscientious employees.

The interns have developed skills that are valued by employers, it has enabled them to demonstrate their value in the workplace and has developed confidence in their own abilities to perform successfully at work.

They work extremely hard and leave the internship believing in themselves and that dreams can come true.
