Whitworth High School raises £1,900 for local charities

Staff at Whitworth Community High School get involved with raising money for charity by wearing fancy dress
Charity events at Whitworth Community High School have raised nearly £1,900 for good causes this year.
The school’s charity group organised a host of activities from a mass ice bucket challenge for staff to baking cakes, a think pink day to staff v student competitions.
Charities to benefit include the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Breast Cancer Care, Red Nose Day and Macmillan.
Headteacher Gill Middlemas said: “Our students and staff are very generous and are always willing to arrange events to support good causes.
“Not only will the money make a difference to the charities, students and staff all had fun while they were raising it.”
