Middleton Technology School - a great set of results, says Head Teacher

Allison Crompton, Head Teacher at Middleton Technology School, said: “We have had a great set of results and I am very proud of all our students’ achievements over their time with us. I must say a big thank you to all the parents who have supported our school and students. Our results were slightly down compared to last year although the official figures are yet to be released but we will know shortly. Overall I’m really really pleased.”

Rebecca Gough was with her proud mum when she got her results of one A*, seven A’s and two B’s, she said: “As you can see my mum is here with me and she is so proud, that's what it's all about for me, making my family happy.

“I’m going to Bury College to study all the sciences as I loved studying them I’m going to do Double Science, Chemistry, Biology and Music. I love music too so I thought it would be fun to add that in and break up all my science classes"

Luke McMahon, who got three A*, four A, two B and a C, said: “I was so nervous but now I feel great knowing I got the results I needed, now I can go onto Bury College and do the courses I wanted”. Luke is going to study Maths, Physics, Computing and Advanced Applications.

Jack Joliffe, three A*, four A and three B, said: “I got what I wanted so I’m happy, I don’t know what to say I am just overwhelmed by the whole thing” he laughs “in a good way” Jack is going on to Holy Cross sixth Form to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths.

Other high achievers were:

Georgia-Recis Molloy: six A* and four A

Sophie-Rose Ekitok got five A* and five A

Charles Anderton got five A*, four A and a B

Lauren Airey: five A*, three A and two B

Abbey Mondon got two A* eight A
