Hamer Community Primary School News

Date published: 11 September 2015

On Tuesday 8 September, Upper Keystage Two held an Olympic afternoon. This was their Entry Point for their topic on Ancient Greece. The children all took part in a Pentathlon which included; discus, throwing, long jump, javelin throwing, wrestling and running. There were some wonderful athletes, in particular, Samir Shah. He won four of the events in his group, making him the supreme Pentathlete on the day. UKS2 would like to say a big thank you to all the families who supported their children and the event.

During the next week all children will be having a 1 to 1 meeting with their class teacher to set individual targets for the academic year. Please can parents discuss this with your children as we highly value input from parents.

The disabled parking bays on our car park are for blue badge holders only. We have had instances this week of misuse by our parents when dropping off and collecting children from school. Many families who access this site have children with disabilities and complex needs and they rely on these bays being for their exclusive use. So please do not park in these spaces.
