Cake Sale and Coffee Afternoon - Friday 25 September

We will be holding a cake sale and coffee afternoon in the school hall on Friday 25 September 2.00pm-3.00pm. This is to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Come along and treat yourself to a brew and a chat, whilst you wait for the children to finish school. Cakes can be bought to takeaway, so please remember to bring a container with you.

Well done, Zayaan!

Zayann in Yr2, made a fantastic castle for his homework project. Well done, Zayann!

Eid Celebrations

We would like to wish all our families Eid Mubarak, and hope you enjoy your celebrations next Thursday. School will be open on Thursday, and we wish to remind parents that children will only have an authorised absence recorded for Thursday. Any children
who do not attend school Wednesday or Friday, will have their absence marked as unauthorised.

Media Room

Our new media room is due to open before half term. The state of the art equipment includes a radio station; green screen; HD camera; modelling and control area; animation studio and four collaborative work stations.

Once the room is open, we will start uploading work onto our website. Each week, the newsletter will feature work from each area too. Watch this space!

Prayer Garden

Our new Prayer Garden is due to be opened before half term, in a ceremony led by our Parish Priest, Fr. Michael. During the ceremony, a statue of Our Lady will be placed in the garden as a focal point. The garden will be used for quiet prayer and reflection, as well as during RE lessons.

We have been able to pay for the garden through money from the pupil premium. We would therefore like to encourage all families, to please apply for free school meals, even if their children are in KS1 and receive free meals anyway. For every child that qualifies for free school meals, we receive over £1,000 additional funding, which allows us to create exciting learning opportunities such as this.

Attendance and Punctuality

Can we remind all parents that holidays are not to be taken during term time. Any holiday absences during term time will be unauthorised and may result in a penalty fine being given.

Can you please ensure that your children are in school every day. Every school day is essential, and children miss a lot of education when they are absent.

We also have a number of children who are persistently late for school. Lessons start promptly at 8.50am, and children who arrive at 9.00am every day, miss a massive 50 minutes of lesson time a week. Please ensure your child arrives in school on time.
