Year 2 Visit Chirk Castle

Before half term, Year 2 visited Chirk Castle in Wrexham. This was to help children with their nonfiction writing about Castles, and their imaginative writing on the book ‘The Sword in The Stone’. All of our children had a wonderful time and have produced some brilliant work after their visit.

Bake Sale – This Friday

We shall be holding a Bonfire Night themed Bake Sale in the school hall at 2pm this Friday. All money raised will be donated to Epilepsy Action. Please come along and have a hot drink and a piece of cake. Please bring your own container for cake that you are buying and taking home.

Be safe this Bonfire Night

If you go to a bonfire and firework display make sure you: Wear your hat, scarf, gloves and wellies Wear gloves when using sparkles Be careful around fireworks so you don’t get hurt Remember Stop, Drop and Roll Please go to an organised fireworks display.

Well done to Amna in Reception, who has done some super writing this week!

SEND Coffee Morning

The Special Educational Needs Information Advice and Support Service (SEND IASS) is holding a series of coffee morning at Castleton Community Centre. This is a chance to talk in confidence to other parents and professionals. All parents of SEND children are welcome. The dates are:

 

  • Tuesday 1 December 
  • Tuesday 5 January 
  • Tuesday 2 February 

 

Nursery Lunch Charges

Can parents please ensure that if their child is unable to attend Nursery, to please contact school by 10.00am, or else you will be charged for your child’s lunch for that day.
