SEB did an amazing job at selling poppies to staff. Before the minutes silence the class experienced the sounds of the 2nd world war air raid sirens. SEB also watched and listened to music that would have been played throughout the 2nd world war to the troops ending with a victory party.

SEB also had a great time on their day out. They went to see the new Christmas decorations at the Range, then to look at some animals at Pets at Home. Fiazaan loved the Degus and was laughing and giggling at them. Akash showed us which rabbits she wanted to take home.

This term students have been working with Mrs James investigating the different types of festivals that people celebrate during the winter months around the world. Students had to research Diwali, Ramadan, Hanukkah and Christmas.

Mr Alcock’s English group have been working hard on their own version of a true story called The Ghostly Hitchhiker. They had to reduce a large story down to its key points and then produce a cartoon version of it. They then used ipads to create a final version.

In ICT Year 7 Green have been exploring where the can find information and using the information to create posters.

Mr Jackson’s class have been looking at the importance of good hand washing. Students have been getting their hands dirty and seeing how clean they become using soap. Lee has been using an interactive game to explore this further.
