Siddal Moor Sports College came to the rescue of Parkfield Primary School from Middleton, after some classrooms were damaged by flooding, following poor weather.

Mel Fawcett, Siddal Moor Primary Links Co-Ordinator, heard of the problems Parkfield was having and immediately offered to help.

After consulting Ray Baker, Headteacher at Siddal Moor, arrangements were made that allowed Parkfield’s students to take over one of the classrooms and use the facilities that the school has to offer.

The year five students and two teachers spent two days at the school.

The students and teachers from Parkfield said that there experience at Siddal Moor had been fantastic, all the pupils and staff had been polite and welcoming and we really appreciated the school’s help.
