School will be closed next week for the half term holiday, hopefully the bad weather will be gone by the time the children come back on Monday 20 February. This half term break marks exactly half way through the academic year.

The first week back starts with a Zumba Workshop for the whole school on Tuesday. From Monday 27th, children in Key Stage 1 will be given opportunity to take part in Zumba classes after school for 5 weeks at a cost of £3. The classes will run from 3.15 until 4.15 and will be £15 for the full course. Places are limited to 30 maximum.

On Wednesday Year 4 and 5 are taking part in Heavenly Henna experience – they will spend half a day looking at henna art and then having their hands painted professionally. If your child has an allergy to henna, please could you let school know.

There is a PTA meeting after school on Monday 20 immediately after school. Everyone welcome. The PTA are currently planning several fundraisers including a ladies night and a Summer Fair.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award by Imogen’s Dad Mr Zallmann.

Best attendance was Year 3 with 98 per cent.

Thank you very much to Mr Zallmann for his excellent talk and presentation about his charity trek to the Himalayas. The children were spellbound with his pictures and the care taken in showing all the equipment and special clothing.

Dinner money for the next half term until 30 March break up day is £54, payable first Monday back please.
